Public Comment on October 1987 Revisions

The Commission did not receive any public comment during the public comment period announced on November 20, 1987 requesting comments on the October 1987 revisions to commentary and policy statements that had already been incorporated into the guidelines for use by judges beginning November 1, 1987. It received some letters outside the comment period, one of which addressed the process used for the October 1987 changes:
